When and where are meetings held?
We normally have meetings on the 2nd or 3rd Thursday of meeting months. Our currently scheduled meeting dates are: Wed. Sept 7th, Wed. Nov 16th, Thurs. Jan 19th, Thurs. Mar 9th, Thurs. Apr 20th, and Thur. May 18th. All General Board meetings are 6:30pm-7:30pm in the Judy K Miller Cafeteria.
How can I become a PTA member?
You can join the JKM PTA online at joinpta.org (national site that is currently down), online at https://memberships-84506.cheddarup.com, in person by asking for a form in the front office, reaching out via email to meet with an Executive Board member, or by filling out and returning the membership form sent home with all students. The dues is $10 per member signing up, per school year.
How does PTA benefit my child and the school?
We are happy you asked! The PTA helps the students and staff of Judy K Miller in several ways. Some things we provide are help with field trips, field day, and class parties. We coordinate and execute school safety and educational programs, family events, Fun Food Friday, staff appreciation luncheons, school supply orders, spirit wear, etc. This year, we plan to host more family and student events, purchase picnic tables, and implement a Zen Room (calm room) for the students!
